After over a year off due to various reasons, StrictlyVibes is back with a bang, and to get things started again we had extremely talent junglist siblings Martha (Vocals) & Ed Kean (Production), based in West Yorkshire, who released their debut single ‘Lioness’ on Congo Natty Bass recordings, and what a release this was.
Heavenly vocals, versatile production, a beautiful bass melody, serenading horns and a minimalist feel come together to make a modern Jungle-esque anthem with a twist, accompanied with a vibe that appeals to both the commercial masses, and the underground following. As well as this, we also heard a lively remix from legends of the game Vital Elements (Serial Killaz) and Congo Natty, along with Dance-Hall Queen Lady Chann on the flip-side.
The single was released on 11th March 2013, and was celebrated with a launch party at a secret location in Leeds, with La La & The Boo Ya, Congo Natty, Vital Elements & Aries all playing but to name a few. It can be purchased on 12″ vinyl as a Double-A single, or at any decent digital download outlet.
