The Buds of Wrath

Mendocino, Trinity, and Humboldt Counties comprise The Emerald Triangle in Northern California, where recent college graduates, from all over the United States, flock to harvest and trim marijuana buds. Mostly, they're highly educated, jobless hipsters, like Mike Abu, who earned a masters degree in radical economics but (shockingly!) can't seem to find work that suits his unique skillset.

So, in the tradition of the Joads, the suffering family from The Grapes of Wrath, he has gone west, where there is the promise of sunshine, money, heady herbs and a better life.
