Ever since the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine began, there have been accusations flying around from Russia, the US and the EU about who is interfering in the country. The President, Viktor Yanukovic fled the country after being overthrown - either by protesters or in a coup depending on which side you believe. Then the pro-Russian movement in the east of the country began to gain ground. Russia annexed Crimea following a referendum there.
Now many are predicting that Ukraine will descend into civil war with pro-Russian groups seizing government buildings in the east and the government in Kiev launching a full scale "anti-terrorist" campaign against their own people. Meanwhile, the Russia, the USA and the European Union are still trading blows and seeking people to blame for the unrest and it looks like we're heading for a war that could easily be prevented.
