The fifth Life Festival was held in the Polish town of Oswiecim in June.
Nothing remarkable about that, except Oswiecim is the town the Nazis
occupied, and renamed Auschwitz. The notorious concentration camp was
built on the outskirts of the town in 1940.Today, The music festival
with headliners like Eric Clapton and Sting, uses music to hammer home
messages of tolerance and peace - and gives Oswiecim an opportunity to
forge a new identity.
