The Comcast Corporation released a statement Monday refuting reports
that it has been discouraging customers from using Tor, the anonymous
browsing tool.
Comcast says its customers are free to “visit any website, use any app, and so forth.”
Tor is the most well-known of the dark net browsers and while it is apparently not under attack from Comcast, Tor Project’s Andrew Lewman tells Vocativ several countries, including Iran, China, Sudan and Kazakhstan, are constantly trying to shut it down.
