NEVERCREW Debut Their Latest Mural at the Urban Art Festival of Winterthur




 NEVERCREW (composed of Christian Rebecchi and Pablo Togni) balance whimsy and calculated design in their latest mural, “Interpretive Machine n°1,” which recently debuted at the Urban Art Festival of Winterthur in Switzerland. In the piece, a friendly-looking whale is subsumed in a plume of rainbow clouds. But as one approaches, it becomes apparent that the beast is hooked up to some sort of apparatus. Its fantastical flight, one begins to suspect, is a mere illusion. The artists employed elements of the former factory on which the piece was painted, using the real-life context to add to the juxtaposition of the practical and the extraordinary.
